Elayne Sanders is a Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sports and Medicine (NASM) and has been teaching Group Exercise since 2012. She is also a certified Group Exercise Instructor through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) . She has specialty format certifications in various dance fitness formats, a Mind & Body Format, and Cycling. Elayne’s approaches every class with the participants best interest in mind. She is always prepared and ready to modify movements to progress or regress whenever needed. Her passion for fitness and wellness started in 2012 after a long streak of being overweight as a child. She started taking Group Exercise classes at Cal State University Northridge and fell in love with the vibe and culture of group exercise. She went on to become an Assistant Instructor and then eventually became the lead instructor of her own classes. Students fell in love with her positive and encouraging energy along with the exhilarating movements of the class. In 2022, Elayne went through the traumatic life changing event of the unexpected passing of her father. During this time of grief she completely lost herself, she forgot all about self-care and gained 40 lbs in the matter of 4 months. In June of 2022 Elayne was still teaching, but took a step back to work on her mental health, she joined a gym and got a personal trainer for herself. Exercise became her therapy. In July of 2023 she had the pleasure and God sent blessing of attending the IDEA World Fitness Conference and it was a completely life changing experience, her passion for fitness and motivating other was restored and she was looking at life with fresh eyes. She started combining her faith & Fitness and it became about more than just weight loss, she had found her purpose and this became her pivot in life. The vision of Success Layne Fitness & the Work Through Your Tough format was born in September of 2023. Elayne’s goal is to be a support system for other people that are going through tough times in life. “Movement is medicine, movement is what we need to get through our toughest moments in life.” -Layne
